The Growth Mechanism of the KTP Crystal in a High Temperature Solution

Abstract
The quenching glass of a KTP-K2O-P2O5 or KTP-K2O-P2O5-WO3solution system has been studied by means of the laser Raman Spectrum. It can partly record the data from the interaction between the solvent and the solute in the solution. The experiment shows that the anion group, TiO6, PO4, WO4 and so on, can form solvates of different types in the solution. Afterwards, the relationship between the growing velocity (of mass) of the KTP crystal and the super-saturation of the solution is measured using the small seed crystal weighing method. The experimental results show that the growth mechanism of the KTP crystal coincides with the linear law and the law of the parabola of surface or volume diffusion of the BCF atomic growth theory.
