An Experimental Research for Compression Natural Gas on a 492QC Engine

  • The power, torque, fuel and natural gas consumption of modified 492QC CNG engine and 492QC gasoline engine were measured under different operating condition, such as engine speed, throttle, opening air fuel ration, and spark advance. As a result the power or torque of 492QC CNG engine are 0.17 times than 492QC gasoline engine, the engine speed of maximums of torque of 492QC CNG engine becomes high while the fixture becomes lean, and 492QC CNG engine performance is imporoved little when the spark advance becomes larger.
