    Structure Vibration Control Based on Particle Damping Technology

    • The Chinese and international development status and study results of particle damping technology for machinery,aviation and other fields were summarized.The optimal install position in building structures for the application of particle damping technology was studied and given.Sands and other materials were used for particle damping,and the shaking table tests for single and multi-story steel frame model were carried out.The vibration attenuation performance and effect were studied.The results show that the coarse sand,as for particle damping material,can provide a larger equivalent damping,and the seismic responses of structures are reduced significantly.
