    Design of PZT Cylindrical Phase Modulator for Simulating Acoustic Emission Signals

    • For the convenience of conducting pipeline leak experiment in laboratory,leak acoustic signals were simulated by converse piezoelectric effect of a PZT cylindrical phase modulator.In this paper,we combined the piezoelectric equations and electromechanical equivalence principle to deliver the transfer function of the PZT cylindrical phase modulator.A PZT cylindrical phase modulator was designed,and numerical simulation was conducted.It is proved that the PZT cylindrical phase modulator can simulate effectively leak acoustic emission signals when the frequency is lower than 25 kHz.
