Integral Stability Analysis of Large-span Prestressed Suspend-dome Based on Defect Probabilistic Theory

    • Based on the characteristic of random distribution of initial deviation,an initial defect probabilistic method is proposed in the paper, which is suitable for the integral stability analysis of suspend-dome structure. The reasonable value and distribution type of initial geometrical defect are obtained. The influence on the nonlinear integral stability of suspend-dome because of the position deviation of joint and the initial eccentricity of members by construction is considered. The integral stability parameters are lower than those of eigenvalue method by 30%.The influence regularity of the value and distribution type of defects on integral stability is obtained through sensitivity analysis. This indicates that the initial defect probabilistic method can fully disclose the impact regularity of initial defects on the integral stability of suspend-dome structure, the distribution and value of initial defects are more reasonable, and integral stability coefficient is inclined to be safe. The integral stability coefficient is more reliable. The probabilistic method has been successfully used in the integral stability analysis of suspend-dome of the badminton gymnasium for 2008 Olympic Games, which verifies the applicability of this method through model test.
