Harmonic Balancing of the Shaking Moment of Planar Linkages

Dynamic balancing is very important to the high performance linkages which run at a high speed. This paper analyzes the imperfections of the balancing methods already existent, and presents a practical method which uses the eccentric pair of gears to balance the lower order harmonic component of the shaking moment. Numerical analysis has proved the effectiveness of this method.
