Study on Al-sol and Coating Ⅰ Characteristics of Al₂O₃-Sol

The characteristics of two different Al-sols and the effect of additives on the characteristics were compared. The viscosity and specific BET surface area of calcined Al-sols were tested. The results show that the viscosity of two Al-sols increases with the increase of specific gravity; The Al-sot crystalline form after calcination exists in the form of γ-Al₂0₃ Adding the molecules of amine can increase the specific area of calcined Al-Sot and will not influence the formation of γ-A1₂0₃.
