  • In order to implement the real-time control on the way vehicle and improve the operation efficiency and management level of logistics enterprise, with various techniques of global position system (GPS), geographic information system(GIS), global system for mobiles communications (GSM) and short message service (SMS) etc. and the creative principles of modern logistics, a logistics transportation management system based on GPS/GIS is developed, and a successful application is acquired. By analyzing GPS, GIS, GSM and SMS technique theory and application method. From the views of the system total design, together with hardware and software design, the whole process of the logistics transportation management system is presented in deteail. It integrally realizes the located data delivering, the electronic map matching and showing as well as the real-time monitoring function of locomoful target.
