Abstract
Considering the effect of concrete strength, cover depth and edge distance, 24 specimens were carried to research the mechanical property including failure mode and ultimate bearing capacity on pre-embedded anchor bolt that is applied for the lifting and supporting of precast element. Results show that the failure mode of concrete includes cone failure and blow-out under axial tension. For the concrete cone failure, the angle of cone failure is about 40°. Under shearing force, the failure mode of concrete is cuneiform failure. Based on the experimental results and twin shear stress three-parameter criterion and ACI standard, theoretical formula for different failure modes was derived. It shows that the calculation results agree well with those of the test results, which can be applied to giving a reference for engineering design.
