    Brake Strategy for Heavy-haul Train Based on Multi-particle Model

    • To reduce the longitudinal impulse caused by the braking delay of heavy-hual train, and improve the operating efficiency of the train, a braking control strategy was put forward. First, each carriage was used as a mass point to establish the multi-mass dynamic model for the heavy-haul train. Meanwhile, the braking delay time of each carriage was accurately calculated and Zhai method was employed for model iteration to obtain the running state of the train. According to the current running state of the train and the road conditions ahead, and combined with the driving constraints, a reasonable braking control strategy was given in advance. Through the simulation analysis of the heavy-haul trains on the Daqin line, under the same road conditions, the braking control strategy proposed in this paper has a good effect on reducing the coupler force and alleviating the longitudinal impulse of the train during the braking process.Moreover, on the complicated road conditions, the stability of the train is improved and the safe operation of the train is guaranteed. The simulation results show that the proposed method meets the operation requirements of heavy-haul trains.
