Temperature Distribution of the Window Spill Plume Under Non-ventilation-controlled Fire

    • Temperature distribution of the wind plume under non-ventilation-controlled fire was studied by the numerical and experimental method, and the impacts of the fire power and opening width were investigated. Variations of the dimensionless temperature of the window plume with dimensionless height were obtained. Results show that the behavior of the window plume seems like that of adhered plume when the width of the opening is relatively large high temperature zones of the plume approach to the facade, and the possibility of the fire spread to the upper level would be high. As the opening width decreases, temperature distributions along the horizontal direction are close to Gaussian distribution, and high temperature zones are far away from the facade. Due to different entrainment behaviors, variations of the temperature of the window plume with height are between the line plume and axisymmetric plume.
