Gear Data Exchange Interface Standard and Application Prospect

  • It is difficult to exchange data and lack the corresponding automation system. In order to solve the problem of data type and format of data, such as gear design, manufacturing, measurement and usage, the eXtensible Gear Describe Language (XGDL) was presented in this paper and an exchange interface standard of full gear data and its specification was established and an extensible schema document system and standard distribution mechanism was provided. According to the gear life cycle characteristics and classification structure level, a specific XML file specification system was establised based on the gear description language. On the basis of this, gear standardized data format exchange interface was developed, and the data generation, reading, conversion, display and other basic service APIs were provided. Finally, the overall solution of gear standardization data exchange was constructed, which is of great significance to improving the efficiency of gear industry and reducing the production cost.
