Indoor Environment Monitoring System Based on Zynq and IEEE 1451.2

    • In current indoor environment monitoring field, there exist problems such as weakness of compatibility in collecting environmental information, standard deficiency of processing environmental information, and complexity of hardware system. To solve these problems, a system that can monitor multiple environmental information and control indoor environment remotely was designed, based on Xilinx Zynq platform and IEEE 1451.2 protocol. The system mainly contained two module:smart transducer interface module (STIM) and network capable application processor (NCAP). Between them, the collection and standardization of environmental information was realized by STIM, based on IEEE 1451.2 protocol. The remote access was realized and the system was controlled by NCAP based on the constrained application protocol (CoAP). Three resources, containing basic resource, compound resource and rule resource were designed to guarantee the coherence between description and publication in system business function. System test results show that the system can realize remote monitor and control indoor environments effectively with a faster response time to user's request, and a lower total power consumption.
