    Multi-vehicle-type Configuration Model of Regular Bus Lines

    • To effectively alleviate the resource wastes and orercrowding caused by the fixed interval of bus lines, based on the assumption of the fixed time interval, the weighted sum of operating expense of buses and bus service quality was selected as the objective function, through the multi-vehicle-type configuration in the regular bus lines and allocating the different vehicle combinations in different periods. A multi-vehicle-type configuration model was established and strength verification was carried out. The conclusion shows that this model can reduce the high cost generated by the fixed interval and solve the problem of low utilization during off-peak hours effectively by Matlab, thus enhance the attractiveness of the bus.
