Reproducing the Scene: The Public Space Design in Cincinnati Children's Hospital

In order to create a comfortable medical environment and exactly improve patient's medical experience, the public space in hospital was taken as the research object to summarize the main function of public space in this paper. Combining with analysis of public space users' behaviors and corresponding psychological status, the design elements in the public space in Cincinnati Pediatric Hospital was explained from a situational point of view and advantages of situational design in hospital public space were discussed. It provides a new perspective for humanization of public space in hospital.
