Source Location of Infrasonic by Tripartite Array Arithmetic

    • After many years of research, infrasonic method is shown to be one of the important and effective methods of earthquake prediction. So far, the time and amplitude of abnormal infrasonic signals before the earthquake can be used to predict earthquake time and magnitude and its effectiveness can be more than 75%. There are three elements of earthquake prediction, and the epicenter is the most important factor. If the earthquake locations cannot be accurately predicted, the goal of disaster prevention and mitigation will not be able to achieve. This paper proposed a source location of infrasonic tripartite array arithmetic that can calcite incidence azimuth, sound velocity and time estimation of the infrasonic source by using the established infrasound observations. Through some practical earthquake examples for sound localization analysis, the result shows that estimate direction is consistent with the actual earthquake location and this tripartite array arithmetic is feasible.
