Abstract
In order to solve the problems of high cost and low efficiency of traditional recycling technology, a developed vegetable oil bitumen rejuvenator by using the “swill-cooked dirty oil” instead of fuel heavy oil was introduced. The performance of bitumen before and after regeneration was evaluated and the optimum vegetable oil bitumen rejuvenator content was determined. This developed method can provide the basis for the asphalt pavement material design. The laboratory test results show that it can not only reduce the viscosity of asphalt effectively but also improve the low-temperature performance of the asphalt. Meanwhile, it can help to solve the problem of waste oil pollution and reduce costs of asphalt regeneration.
