    Numerical Simulation of Stone Arch Bridge Considering the Influence of Out-of-plane Tilt

    • In order to study the influence of out-of-plane tilt on the bearing capacity of stone arch bridge, considering the influence of out-of-plane tilt, a 3-D finite element model of the main arch and superstructure of stone arch bridge was established by ANSYS. The ultimate value of uniform live load for bridge deck was calculated by Newton-Raphson Method. Simultaneously, the state of stress and damage of the main arch was analyzed in the limit state. The influence of out-of-plane tilt of the main arch on deck carrying capacity can provide a theoretical basis for safety and damage assessment of this kind of stone arch bridge.
