    Durability of Asphalt Pavement Under Salty and Humid Environment

    • In order to study the rutting performance of asphalt pavement under salty and humid environment,tests on the condition of different temperatures and different salt solution concentrations were conducted applying laboratory Hamburg rutting test,by which the different types of durability of the asphalt mixture were compared.The Origin 8.0 was used to analyze the correlation of the results from plate and cylindrical specimens.Not only the cylindrical specimen rutting test conditions were determined,but also the salty humidity environment durability test conditions and the evaluation index were put forward.At last the erosion mechanism of salty and humid environment on the asphalt pavement was analyzed.The results show that modified asphalt binder can significantly improve the salt durability of the asphalt mixture under high humidity environment.It has poorer durability for the ordinary AC mixture than that of other.However,the durability of SMA mixture is better than that of other types of mixture under high humidity environment;cylindrical specimen immersion rutting deformation rate under the temperature of 60℃,70 ℃ can be used to evaluate the durability of asphalt pavement and detection index.High temperature,salt,water,and the coupling effects are the main reasons for decreasing the durability of asphalt mixture.
