    Advancements in Catalyst Research for Micro/Small-scale Catalytic Combustor

    • The catalytic combustion technology in confined micro/small space has received extensive attention for its low-temperature ignition for hydrocarbon fuel and stable combustion. The catalyst is the key material for catalytic combustion and has become a research focus recently. First,constitution of the catalyst was presented. Then,advancements in catalysts for micro/small scale catalytic combustion were briefly summarized,mainly introducing the Pt/Pd monolithic catalyst with porous Al2O3,Si C foam and metal foam as matrix. The catalytic activity,ignition temperature,combustion temperature and reaction stability of these catalysts were discussed. The trend of development for low-temperature ignition and high-performance hydrocarbon combustion catalysts in future was predicted.
