Exploration and Practice of Art Education in Universities of Science and Engineering

Abstract
Aesthetic education was formally included into the general educational guideline of the country and regarded as a critical part of the quality education as well on the Third Session of the National Conference on Education whose theme was how to deepen educational reform and to promote quality education. Universities of science and engineering are required to clearly realize that the combination of humanistic spirit and scientific spirit forms the core of the comprehensive quality of students. The art education is right one of the bridges of this combination and the key to enhance the comprehensive quality of students. This paper makes an exploration on how to practice art education in universities based on the authors' experience.
