Comparative Study on the Political Participation of Migrant Workers

The Political participation is a realistic way to express,maintain and achieve personal and group interests.Rights of migrant workers maintain the research focus of this group.This paper,by comparing and analyzing the political participation of migrant workers and other social strata,found out that migrant workers have little awareness of the political participation,and their political participation and the quality of the various forms of the participation are lower than other social class.From the macroscopic point of view,the reason is that the urban-rural dual system lags;from the micro speaking,the reason is their low economic and social status and their psychosocial problems.Therefore,the reform must be done from the above aspects for raising the level of political participation of migrant workers and safeguarding the interests of migrant workers.
