On the Cognitive Character of “Harmony of Heaven and Man”

    • Based on the systematic Cosmology, harmony of heaven and man is the basic way of thinking of the Chinese philosophy, with the cognitive characters of systematic thinking and visual thinking. By systematic thinking, Nature and man are regarded as an organic and unified system in essence. Visual thinking pays attention to the integration of representation, symbols and man's spirit. Symbols are dead without man's understanding. It is the participation of man's spirit that makes the symbols and the subjective world meaningful.
