    "Cuju" Meter in Ancient Poetry

    • The word ‘Cuju' first appeared in the book named Tian Chu Jin Luan. However, as a kind of creating technique, ‘Cuju' can be traced back to the period of pre-Qin dynasty. Qinshi-huang's Stone Inscription in Mount Duo is not the meter of ‘Cuju'. The completely mature meter of ‘'Cuju' emerged in the early period of Tang dynasty. It includes two writing fundamentals: using a rhyme in every sentence and altering a rhyme every three sentences. The length of a poem is de-cided by the content. Now the so-called ‘two-rhymes' and ‘three-rhymes' have not been verified by textual research.
