    Inner Meaning of Beiping Culture in Lao She's Novels

    • Beiping(old Beijing) culture, containing strong national characteristics, represents the abundant inner meaning of Chinese traditional culture. Lao She is a modern literary master closely linked with the old city of Beijing. In his novels, Lao She often borrows many character images and special background of times to show his deep concern about old Beiping culture. This paper explores the main content of Beiping culture from the three respects of clan culture, commercial culture and bannerman culture, which often appear in Lao She's novels.
