    Comparison Between Yan Ji-dao and Nalan Xingde——on the Sense of Life in the Works of the Two Poets

    • In Chinese history of poetic genre, Yan Jidao in Song Dynasty and Nalan Xingde in Qing Dynasty are both the poets of strong emotions, and, as a matter of fact, the latter had carried on the artistic style of creations from the former. In this article, a comparison is made between the two poets on their similar life experiences, intelligence, personalities, talents and values. In addition, the article also develops an analysis on their senses of life-a kind of anxious feeling about the nature of existence, expressed by their poetic description of dreamlands.
