The Production of Symbol and "Symbol Field"

This paper discusses the question of the productive mechanism of symbol, ie, in the development of culture, what kind of condition the emergence of symbols demands and how does the abundant and diverse symbols unite. The author argues that the free creation of culture by human is only an illusion.The production of symbols is the self-production of symbol field, which is a whole constructed by a series of symbols in mutual relation and effect, and is organic, structural and developmental. Symbol resources, their relation in production and their mode of operation constitute symbol field's mode of production, which combine the macroscopic and the microcosmic leves and do good to our better understanding of the development of culture.
