The Relation of Synergistic Relationships between Discipline Construction and Scientific Research in Higher Education

Abstract
As the discipline construction and scientific research are the most important activities in higher education, the complicated relationship between them is discussed in this paper. The quantitative model of them is founded by using the theory and method of avalanche dynamics. The results show that the avalanche cumulative effect exists within the discipline construction and scientific research. And cumulative effects in different disciplines have strong similarities.
