The Quality Theory of Jin Yuelin

Jin Yuelin determines that the object's quality can not be separated from the relation and the types of organ activity,which not only avoids talking about the quality beyond relation from the stance of the essence of the object,but also avoids moving toward idealism standing in the framework of the dualism of mind and matter or toward radical idealism.Although he recognizes the object existing independently,he sees the object as "things in themselves",which causes the separation of the authentic quality and the quality of organ activity,and in this regard,Locke and Thomas Reid's theory can be seen as a contrast.
