    The Contribution of the FDI to the Beijing's Employment

    • The Foreign Direct Investment not only promotes the Beijing's economy but also effect the Beijing's employment But there is little quantitative analysis literature about the above aspect For this sake, this paper based on the reality of the Beijing's employment and foreign direct investment situation, using the published data in the Statistical Yearbook, set up the econometric model, analyzed the contribution of the Foreign Direct Investment to the Beijing's employment Form 1986 to 2002, 3.553 million people worked in the foreign enterprises. We can know from this paper, the foreign enterprises not only supplied more employ opportunity, but also enhanced the employee wages and lessened the Beijing's employment pressure.
