    Urban Agglomeration in the Course of Urbanization

    • Urban agglomeration refers to certain integrated aggregation which involves some cities with different characteristics,types,and scales in a certain area.It emerges in the course of urbanization in China.Centered with one mega city or two,the internal ties among these different cites reinforces constantly in context of given environmental and traffic conditions.Urban agglomeration enlarges the advantages of the economic agglomeration, makes for the planning as a whole that leads to the structural adjustment of industries.It also helps to realize the mutual advantageous complement in different urban developmental patterns and extends radiate effect of urbanization.Therefore the overall planning,the development,and the construction of urban agglomeration is a strategic selection of urbanization at present.
