Materialism generally refers to the individual's values focusing on material possession, and social recognition. There is a negative recycle between seeking for external goals and the satisfaction for basic psychological need for materialists. The recycle maintains the life style of materialism,as well as leaving people lower self-appraisal,lower satisfaction and more negative emotion. In this paper,we explore the relationship among materialistic values, subjective well-being,interpersonal trust and helping intention. We also suggest the future agenda.
