    • From the perspective of eco-criticism,this article gives a new interpretation of Kurt Vonnegut's famous work Cat's Cradle.The study holds that Kurt Vonnegut is a writer with ecological conscience.In Cat's Cradle,Vonnegut,with his skillful post-modernist writing techniques and the depiction of a story about "the end of the world",vividly deals with the alienation and unbalance of technology,humanity, and nature under the historical background of post-modernism and predicts the eco-crises and disasters befalling human beings consequently.His thoughts on the post-modern ecological environment are well reflected in the novel.
