    Reconsideration on the Basic Connotation of Mao Zedong's Educational Thought

    • Mao Zedong's educational thought is the important component of Mao Zedong's thought,and is the newest achievement of sinicization of Marxism as well.The basic connotation of Mao Zedong's educational thought covers eight aspects such as political orientation of education,target of service, connection between theory and practice,combination of knowledge and productive labor,educational policy,teaching reform,talents training,deference to teachers and emphasis on education,etc.Mao Zedong's educational thought is a complete scientific theory system.However,after reform and opening-up, some specialists and scholars make some objections to it,and even criticize it by taking a remark out of context.Therefore,only by applying Marxist historical materialism,viewing the basic connotation and historical role of Mao Zedong's educational thought plus its guiding meaning to education reform and development in new age from scientific development outlook,can we make a just historical evaluation to Mao Zedong's educational thought.
