An Empirical Study of the Impact of "He Qun" on People′s Subjective Well-being——An Analysis Based on China Social Survey

    • Using the data from 2021 "China Social Survey", a binary logit model is built, and the KHB method used to decompose the effect of "He Qun", explore the relationship between "He Qun" and people′s subjective well-being, and further analyze its mediation mechanism. It is found that "He Qun" can significantly improve people′s subjective well- being. The level of social trust and the degree of social connection are important mediating mechanisms for the effect of "He Qun" on subjective well-being. However, there are some differences in the proportions of the mediating effects of the level of social trust and the degree of social connection, with the degree of social connection being a higher proportion than the level of social trust. Based on this, the existence of the effect of "He Qun" on people′s subjective well-being is confirmed, and micro-evidence is provided for a better understanding of how "He Qun" effectively promotes people′s subjective well-being.
