Abstract
Since 2012, China has entered the stage of comprehensively deepening reform and modernizing national governance, comprehensively building a moderately prosperous society benefiting more than one billion people. By 2020 China achieved the first 100-year goal as scheduled. With the method of goal congruence, the article conducts a systematic assessment and summary on the measures to comprehensively deepen reform and modernize national governance, which include upholding and improving China's basic socialist economic systems, improving the systems for scientific and technological innovation, building a high-standard opening up system, upholding and improving the protective system for coordinating urban and rural livelihoods, the social governance system based on collaboration, participation, and shared benefits, accelerating to advance ecological progress, and promoting the modernization of harmony between humanity and nature. The basic conclusion of this post-evaluation is that since the 18th Party Congress, China has seized the extremely valuable strategic opportunity for development, responded to internal and external challenges effectively, and achieved a sweeping and historic development and progress.
