Genealogy of Chinese Community Studies

Early Chinese sociologists proposed community research, which is the core issue of the sinicization of sociology. Based on the perspective of academic history, the concept of Chinese community research and its method application and the formation of theoretical pedigree can be further discussed. Different from the "photo" or "case fragment" study to explore the ideological function of Chinese community research, this paper, as a methodological attempt, systematically discusses the concept and method origin of community research from the localization origin of community research, and focuses on the theoretical problems of ontology and methodology, questioning and response theory that take "community research" as the research object. On the basis of clarifying the boundaries and relations of community research, the periodical academic and ideological achievements of Chinese community research are integrated into a "movie" community research pedigree, from static to dynamic, so as to achieve the continuous development of history and culture, structure and function, and the goal of "enlightening Chinese society" and building society in a panoramic way. The formation of localized Chinese community research pedigree is of great significance to the construction of China's independent sociological knowledge system.
