Integration, Development and Governance of International Migrants in China in the New Era

    • The integration, development and governance of international migrants in China is not only an important part of China's population development governance in the new era, but also an important part of the modernization of the national governance system and governance capability. The paper explains the characteristics and flow trends of international migrants in China, as well as the current status of integration and development. It has found that in the new era, China, as an emerging destination country for international migration, faces some urgent problems and challenges in the development of international migration governance, such as the systematization of pluralistic and collaborative governance, the construction of immigration permanent residence and naturalization legal system, the transformation and reform of government functions. In view of the life cycle of international migration and the system of diversified migration governance, China should strengthen the participation of global migration governance, establish and improve the international migration policy system, improve the level of government migration management and service, optimize the business environment and build a free and open migration by building an international migration governance framework, in order to promote the modernization of international migration governance system and governance capacity.
