Political Participation of Private Businesses Towards a "Close" and "Clean" Business-Government Relationship Building: A Case of Private Business in Henan?

Understanding the interaction between business and government is a prerequisite to build the close and clean relationship between the two. Adopting an in-depth interview and questionnaire approach, this study is to explore the interaction between private businesses and government, and propose the methods to build the close and clean relationship between the two. It is suggested that, on one hand, government ought to make efforts in legislation and administration to increase opportunities for business to participate in legislation process, ensure that the participating channel and process are effective, encourage private businesses to organize themselves, and improve the service mindset of government officers and the transparency of administration process; on the other hand, private businesses should improve their capability and enthusiasm of political participation and legal consciousness.
