    From Medical Image to Finite Element Grid

    • 摘要: 基于可视化工具VTK,开发了一套集成医学图像处理、三维重建与有限元网格生成的软件系统——“从医学图像到有限元网格”.系统由3个主要的功能模块组成:图像分割、表面重建和有限元网格生成.它可以方便、快速、准确地将三维医学图像(切片形式)转换为有限元网格模型、计算机辅助设计(CAD)实体模型和快速原型(RP)表面模型.

       

      Abstract: For the purpose of anatomically accurate numerical model generation from medical images, an integrated software system of medical image processing, 3D reconstruction and finite element grid generation has been developed based on the visualization toolkit. Three functional modules of image segmentation, surface reconstruction and finite element mesh generation are involved in the system. It can convert slice medical images automatically into various format of numerical models, including finite element mesh, computer aided design solid model and rapid prototyped surface model, which bridges the gaps between medical imaging and biome-chanics simulation, surgical planning and rapid manufacturing.
