    Anomalous Acousto-optic Effect in LiNbO3 Acoustoelectro-optic Crystals

    • 摘要: 在LiNbO3声电光器件设计过程中,为了准确确定相关的设计参数,根据相切条件和匹配条件研究了LiNbO3晶体的反常声光衍射几何关系,得到了xOz平面内入射角、衍射角以及极值频率和声光优值的变化曲线,最后给出了LiNbO3声电光器件的设计参数.与传统的求解Dixon方程法相比,该方法计算过程更加严密,所得结果更加准确.

       

      Abstract: In order to obtain the accurate design parameters of acousto-electro-optic (AEO) devices, the geometrical relationships of anomalous acousto-optic effect are studied by tangent condition and matching condition. Angle relationships of incident light vector, diffractive light vector and optic wave vector are determined. Curves of extreme frequency and acousto-optical (AO) merit for different ultrasonic waves in xOz plane are systematically given. Further on, the design parameters under different central frequency are also calculated. The results show that parameters gained by this way are more precise comparing to that gained by solving Dixon equations.
