    Automatic Fat Segmentation Method on Thigh MRI

    • 摘要: 提出利用期望最大值分割算法的结果对水平集算法进行改进,实现腿部磁共振图像脂肪和其他组织的自动分割.实验结果表明,该方法能较好地分割出腿部皮下脂肪组织、肌肉间脂肪组织及其他组织.

       

      Abstract: Fat research of thigh is very valuable in the diagnosis of metabolic syndrome and metabolic dysfunction.However,it is more difficult to segment the subcutaneous fat and intermuscular fat in MRI images because of connected regions.The result of expectation maximization algorithm is used to improve level-set algorithm and realize automatic MRI image segmentation.Results show that the subcutaneous fat tissue,intermuscular fat tissue,and other tissues of thigh can be successfully segmented with the method.
