    Traffic Wave Model for a Variety of Traffic Flow State

    • 摘要: 为方便描述多种车流状态下的交通波速度传播过程, 基于车辆跟驰的物理机制和车辆运动学特性推导出交通波速度传播统一模型.采用高点视频拍摄和视频车辆轨迹提取的数据采集方法获取实际调查数据, 得到了停车波和起动波的波速计算值.通过与实测数据比较, 结果表明交通波模型的波速计算值与实测值的相对误差为5%左右, 证实了模型的有效性.通过对模型进行分析, 得出车辆速度和车头间距对交通波波速的影响区别, 为城市交通控制与管理提供了理论依据.

       

      Abstract: Based on the physical mechanism of car-following and the kinematic characteristics of the traffic wave propagation, a kinematic model for the traffic wave was built, which accords with the reality and is applied to many types of traffic flow. Data were obtained by the video capture in the high building and vehicle trajectory extraction method. The model was validated by the survey data, and the velocity of the traffic wave propagation was calculated in start-wave and stop-wave. Compared with the measured data, the relative error between the two wave velocities obtained by the model and observation was about5%. The validity of the model was confirmed. The vehicle speed and the headway have different impacts on the traffic wave velocity through model analysis. The proposed model can provide a theoretical basis for the urban traffic bottleneck control.
