    The Application of Dimensional Analysis in Model Experiment of Geotechnical Engineering

    • 摘要: 量纲分析对试验设计和试验结果的简明表达十分有用,有效的量纲分析可以产生一组无量纲成果.以地基承载力为例说明了Buckingham的π定理及Butterfield对其计算方法的改进.通过数值计算的方法对岸坡虹吸排水模型试验进行了分析,初步验证了量纲分析的成果,对模型试验的关键参数选取提出了一些建议.

       

      Abstract: Dimensional analysis can aid the design of experiments and expression of conciseness of the results generated by them.The dimensionless groups, which are the output of a successful dimensional analysis, are usually developed.This paper takes the ground bearing strength test as the example, shows the Buckingham's π theorem and improves the calculating methods of amelioration by Butterfield.The author studied the model experiment of siphon drainage technology on the bank slope by numerical simulation and validated the results of dimensional analysis, and proposed suggestions for the model experiment essential parameter selection.
