    AEM Study on Quasicrystalline Phase in Al-Mn-Cu Alloy

    • 摘要: 用分析电镜(AEM)在快速凝固A166 Mn14 Cu20合金中发现一个二十面体相.这个相的选区电子衍射花样显示出准晶体结构的五次对称性.X射线能谱分析结果表明它是一个成分为Al11 Mn3 Cu6的三元相.当温度升高时,这个相存在Ⅰ相向T相转变的趋向.

       

      Abstract: An icosahedral phase in a rapidly solidified Al66 Mn14 CU20 alloy is identified by means of analytical electron microscope (AEM). The selected area diffraction patterns from the phase show a fivefold symmetry of a quasicrystalline structure. The energy dispersive analysis of X-ray (EDAX) for the phase indicates that it is a ternary of composition Al11Mn3Cu6. After being heated, the ⅠPhase in Al-Mn-Cu alloy willtransform to T Phase.
