Abstract: The retrieval techniques based on DCT and DWT compressed domain have been deeply investigated as viewed from the combination of indexing and compression techniques, and a series of new algorithms are proposed. The experiment results show that the solution jointing compression and indexing techniques is efficient and effective, and therefore can markedly improve the performance of multimedia application system.
