Abstract: Various assessment approaches can be applied to assess direct foreign investment environments, such as qualitative and quantitive analyses. Those approaches, however,over-stress the generalities of the direct foreign investment setting by neglecting its particularities and constraints of the decision-making group. In order to overcome the above mistakes,this paper presents a fuzzy assessment model to assess the direct foreign investment. The model applies the optimistic, pessmistic and eclectic methods respectively to analysis and the comprehensive assessment through fuzzy-projection and fuzzy transformation.
