    Dynamic Crack Propagation by Boundary Element Method

    • 摘要: 采用时域边界元法对动态载荷作用下材料中裂纹的快速扩展过程进行数值模拟.计算中,裂纹动态扩展方向根据最大周向应力准则确定,扩展瞬时速度基于二分法迭代确定.在每个扩展时间步,通过在运动裂尖添加新的裂纹单元来模拟裂纹扩展.算例与实验及数值结果进行对比,验证了该方法的准确性.

       

      Abstract: A time-domain boundary element method was applied to simulate the fast crack propagating process under dynamic loading.The crack-growth direction was determined by the maximum circumferential stress criterion.The instantaneous crack-tip velocity was approached by a bisection technique.New elements of inconstant length were added to the moving crack-tip to simulate the crack propagation.The simulation was analyzed and compared to the corresponding experimental and numerical results.
