    Quasi-static Compression Mechanical Properties Analysis and Optimization Design for Origami-based Meta-structure

    • 摘要: 为了改进折纸超结构的构型设计,基于Miura折纸原理设计了一种超结构. 利用数值仿真分析方法研究了面外准静态压缩力学性能,探讨了折纸超结构的边长比、单元角度、展开角度以及厚度对其压缩过程的变形及能量吸收的影响规律. 引入主次影响分析方法,比较了几何参数对力学性能指标的重要影响程度. 基于响应面方法,建立了以初始峰值力最小和比吸能最大为目标、以几何尺寸为约束、以折纸超结构重要影响几何参数为设计变量的优化模型,并采用非支配排序遗传算法对优化模型进行了求解,获得了Pareto前沿最优解. 研究结果对于提高折纸超结构的力学性能及构型设计具有一定的理论指导意义.

       

      Abstract: To improve the configuration design of origami-based Meta-structure, a type of Meta-structure was constructed based on the Miura origami in this paper. The mechanical properties of out-of-plane compression were investigated by numerical simulations. The influences of side length ratio, unit angle, unfolding angle and thickness of origami-based Meta-structure on mechanical properties were discussed. To understand the effect of parameters on performance of the Meta-structure, the primary and secondary sequence method was introduced. The optimization model with the goal of minimizing the initial peak force and maximizing specific energy absorption was established based on response surface methodology. The significant geometric parameters of the origami-based Meta-structure were selected as design variables, and the geometric dimensions were considered as constraint. The non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm was employed to deal with multi-objective optimization model, and the Pareto frontier were acquired. The proposed method has great significance on the improvement of mechanical properties and the configuration design.
