Abstract: In this paper a new formula for riser calculation is given. It is more precise in reflecting the solidification mechanisms compared to the traditional modulus method and heat node circular method.Applying the new formula to technology of metal production the yied of production could be increased;the consumption of raw materials and energe could be decreased.
